We're the Blaze Gang

Welcome to our blog! I'm studying Parelli Natural Horsemanship with my two ponies, Gingo and Marsan. Both of them have flashy white blazes, hence the name. However, our name is more than just a play on the ponys' markings, it reflects what we are trying to do. We're blazing a new trail, one we've never traveled before; we are becoming true partners. Hopefully some day we'll be a trio all playing to together at the same time. This blog is dedicated to documenting all that we learn and all of our adventures too.

Respect at feeding time! Yay!

Well, for awhile now I've been working with Gingy on this and it's really paying off :)

What I usually do is have him back up and wait until I throw the hay in. He is so soft now and he puts his heart into trying to back up for me. He backs so well now at feeding time that his back gets all nice and rounded, he even waits once I've backed him up. The greatest part, he is starting to really try to do what I want, sometimes if I feel like he tried to approack his feed bucket to quickly I'll ask him to back up once more and HE DOES!!!!

Just had to share this success =)
